THE DAWN

Ege Özyuvacı’s first solo exhibition, The Dawn, opens the door to a personal mythology shaped by the sun, moon, planets, waves and imaginary beings. Built through bold outlines, vivid fields of colour and simplified figures, this universe transforms play, curiosity and movement into a generative energy that brings different forms of existence together within the same world.

In the words of curator Işık Gençoğlu, The Dawn “brings the sun down to earth and into an encounter with the moon.” For the first time, the exhibition presents Özyuvacı’s evolving visual language as a coherent whole.

Ege Özyuvacı

Ege Özyuvacı was born in Istanbul in 1997. He studied Visual Communication Design at Bilgi University on a full scholarship and took part in an exchange programme at NABA Milan. His practice spans painting, illustration and animation.

 Özyuvacı, who creates work across the fields of illustration, animation, music, and visual storytelling, focuses on the relationship humans form with nature, the universe, and their own inner worlds. Elements such as the sun, the moon, waves, plants, and various aspects of nature evolve into recurring characters and narrative devices in their work.
